Position Overview
Masaka Creamery is hiring a disciplined and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to manage inventory, storage, dispatch, and food safety compliance. This leadership role ensures accurate and efficient handling of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. The position requires strong organizational skills, integrity, and the ability to lead a diverse team, including Deaf employees. The Warehouse Supervisor will collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Finance, and Logistics to maintain smooth operations and precise stock control.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
The main objectives and responsibilities of the position are to:
1. Warehouse Operations & Supervision
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch of goods.
- Supervise and support warehouse staff to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and accurately.
- Develop and implement clear workflows, schedules, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure proper housekeeping, organization, and cleanliness of the warehouse.
2. Inventory Management & Control- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Conduct regular stock counts (daily, weekly, and monthly) and reconcile variances.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Procurement and Production to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO principles are strictly followed, especially for perishable dairy products.
3. Compliance, Quality & Safety
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Enforce proper storage conditions (temperature, cleanliness, segregation).
- Ensure staff adhere to health, safety, and sanitation requirements.
- Support internal and external audits and inspections.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records for goods received, issued, damaged, expired, or returned.
- Prepare regular inventory and warehouse performance reports.
- Coordinate with Finance to support stock valuation and audits
5. Team Leadership & Performance
- Train, coach, and mentor warehouse staff.
- Support performance management, attendance tracking, and discipline in line with company policy and Rwanda Labour Law.
- Promote respectful communication and teamwork across Deaf and hearing employees.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and warehouse best practices.
- Experience working in food manufacturing or FMCG is an advantage.

- Ability to work effectively in an inclusive, Deaf and Hearing work environment.
Compensation & Working Conditions- Compensation: To be determined.
- Paid Leave: 18 days annually.
- Work Location: Plot G5, Kigali Special Economic Zone, Kigali, Rwanda.
- Contract: Open-ended.
- Reporting To: Finance Director
- Expenses: Reimbursement for authorized business-related expenses (transport, airtime, etc.).
