Grade: Banking Assistant
Duty Station: Bombo Road Branch, Kampala
Job Purpose
The Banking Assistant Marketing shall Provide excellent customer services and addressing customer grievances with in shortest possible time
Job Responsibilities
- Marketing of existing, new products and services of the bank
- Provide excellent customer services and addressing customer grievances with in shortest possible time
- Contacting the customers of the Bank and obtaining the KYC documents periodically
- Reactivation of dormant accounts by following up with clients
- Build customer loyalty for the bank
- Identify and resolve customer needs and ensure quality services to customers
- Mobilize new account openings, mobilization of deposits, and generation of quality advance leads.
- Account opening-ensuring that accounts are opened in the shortest time possible
- Promotion and cross-selling of banking products to customers
- identify and resolve customer needs and ensure quality services to customers. Directing the customers to the proper departments/ officials.
- Proper maintenance and upkeep of Bank’s records
- Ensure compliance of Bank’s KYC, AML policies and regulatory norms
- Dealing with publicity and marketing aspects of bank
- Reporting of performance at a regular interval at least on a monthly basis.
- Any other duties and responsibilities that be assigned to you from time to time by your Supervisor or Bank.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Degree in a Business related field from a recognized Institution.
- Ability to lead team for improvement of Image of the Bank,
- A proven and extensive track record in Marketing from a financial institution.
EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years working experience in a Bank / Financial institution is a MUST in marketing or sales field.
TECHINICAL COMPETENCES
- Up to date Knowledge and understanding of Marketing in Banking Sector in Uganda.
- Suitable basic knowledge in IT is a must
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCES
- Highly organized person, with ability to multitask with ease, Leadership skills, Integrity. Team player, and Emotional intelligence skills
- Ability to lead team for improvement of Image of the Bank.
PHYSICAL DEMAND OF THE JOB
• The job requires flexibility to changing marketing demands.
Age
• Preferably below 40 years. However, Management reserves the right for determining the age criteria even below above 40 years keeping in view the experience/qualifications, etc.
