Job Summary
This job exists to perform technical and operational audits identifying inadequate, inefficient, or ineffective internal controls, issues of noncompliance, and recommending improvements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in examining the correctness of records and completeness of documentation.
- Aid in the preparation of audit working papers and documentation, as well as follow-up of recommendations from previous technical audits.
- Draft and compile technical audit programmes, findings, and conclusions.
- Examine and analyse records, reports, operating practices, and documentation, recommending opportunities to strengthen the internal control structure.
- Assist in the assessment of compliance with regulations and controls during the execution of the audit programme for technical engagements.
- Participate in relevant technical statutory, preparatory meetings and workshops to facilitate/inform future audits.
- Undertake any other assignments as may be directed from time to time.
Basic Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Physical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Geoscience or Petroleum Engineering obtained from an internationally recognised University, with a minimum achievement of Second Class – Upper Division.
Experience
Applicants must have completed university degree programmes for a period not exceeding three (3) years from the date of graduation.
