Head of Advocacy & Corporate Communications
Reporting : Chief Corporate Affairs Officer (CCAO)
Supervising: Economic Policy Affairs Manager, Regulatory Affairs Manager, Communications Specialist
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company’s advocacy strategy in alignment with corporate objectives
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret relevant government policies, legislation, and regulatory developments impacting the business.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with government officials, policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders in local, regional, and all EPA/FTA markets the company, and its affiliates markets or sources are located.
- Represent Roofings Limited and affiliates thereof in industry forums, associations, and public policy discussions.
- Spearhead the stakeholder engagement initiatives to promote the company’s leadership position on key industry issues.
- Collaborate with internal departments to align advocacy efforts with business priorities.
- Prepare policy briefs, position papers, and communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify advocacy risks and opportunities, providing timely advisory to senior management.
- Drive corporate reputation management through proactive engagement and thought leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and governance frameworks, working alongside the user departments
- Ensure timely and favourable finalisation of all advocacy initiatives aimed at enhancement of business revenues, reduce cost or incentivise investments and build a superior brand image.
Academic Qualification, Skills & Experience:
- PhD or master’s degree in law, Finance, Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years (for PhD) or 7 years (for Masters) of relevant experience in advocacy, public affairs, government relations, or a related field.
- Membership to a Professional Body in Economics, Statistics, Law, Government Relations is desirable
- Proven experience engaging with government institutions and regulatory bodies.
- Strong understanding of policy development and legislative processes.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and networking abilities.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
