Job Purpose:

To collect, manage, analyze, interpret, and transform large volumes of scientific, operational, commercial, and research data into meaningful information that supports evidence-based decision-making, strategic planning, operational efficiency, and organizational growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Collect, clean, validate, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources while ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
2. Develop dashboards, reports, scorecards, and data visualization tools to support management decision-making.
3. Generate actionable insights from scientific, laboratory, manufacturing, sales, and operational data.
4. Design and maintain databases, data models, and reporting frameworks.
5. Perform statistical analyses and trend evaluations to identify patterns, opportunities, and risks.
6. Monitor key organizational performance indicators and prepare periodic performance reports.
7. Support research, product development, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance activities through data analysis.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and reporting needs.
9. Develop forecasting models and predictive analytics to improve business performance.
10. Ensure compliance with data governance, confidentiality, and information security standards.
11. Automate recurring reports and data processing workflows to improve efficiency.
12. Provide technical support and training to users on data management and reporting tools

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Biostatistics, Laboratory Science, Biomedical Technology, Natural Sciences, Epidemiology, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
2. Postgraduate qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Health Informatics, or a related field will be an added advantage.
3. Professional certifications in data analytics, business intelligence, database management, or statistical software are desirable.
4. Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a scientific, healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory, research, manufacturing, or related environment handling large volumes of data and generating management information.
5. Proven experience in data mining, statistical analysis, business intelligence, and reporting.
6. Experience working with complex datasets from multiple sources and transforming them into actionable insights.
7. Demonstrated experience in developing dashboards and management reporting systems.

KEY COMPETENCIES

1. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, and database management systems.
2. Strong knowledge of statistical analysis tools such as SPSS, R, Python, SAS, Stata, or equivalent.
3. Experience with data visualization and business intelligence platforms.
4. Strong understanding of data quality assurance and governance principles.
