Job Description
- Direct shift laboratory technicians and oversee real time quality control operations to guarantee beverage integrity and safety.
- Verify critical processing parameters including Brix, carbonation, and dissolved air levels to authorize production line start ups and batch releases.
- Drive adherence to operational specifications, safety regulations, and compliance standards through rigorous testing and documentation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise shift laboratory technicians by allocating daily testing tasks, monitoring performance, and executing structured shift handovers.
- Verify Brix, carbonation, air levels, and other physical chemical parameters against established quality specifications.
- Authorize packaging line start ups and release finished batches only after verifying compliance with all required standards.
- Identify, record, and log non conformances, supporting swift root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Enforce approved standard operating procedures, hygiene standards, and safety protocols, preventing informal process shortcuts.
- Maintain accurate, legible, and traceable laboratory records, logs, and shift reports ready for audits and management reviews.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and utility teams to resolve quality deviations and operational bottlenecks efficiently.
- Escalate suspected product contamination, severe quality deviations, or major safety hazards immediately through formal reporting channels.

Education Qualifications & Experience
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Industrial Biochemistry, Food Science and Technology, Quality Management, Industrial or Production Engineering, Environmental Health, Agriculture, or a directly related technical field.
- Higher Diploma or Ordinary Diploma in a relevant science, laboratory, or technical discipline combined with practical supervisory experience.
- Recognized TVET, UBTEB, or professional certifications in quality assurance, laboratory technology, food safety, or supervisory management, including equivalent accredited international qualifications.
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience supervising laboratory quality control in liquid processing.
