Job Purpose: Trade Marketing Manager is to plan and execute trade-specific marketing strategies to enhance product visibility, drive sales, and strengthen relationships with trade partners.

Functional Outputs/Activities per key performance area:
- Develop and implement effective trade marketing Plans aligned with business objectives
- Collaborate with sales, category management, and other departments to ensure strategic alignment.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour to identify opportunities and
threats. - Adjust strategies based on real-time data and market intelligence to stay competitive.
- Regularly review and update trade marketing strategies to reflect changes in business objectives.
- Incorporate data-driven insights to personalize and optimize trade marketing initiatives.
- Execution of AVAA
- Plan, execute, and evaluate promotional campaigns to support product launches and increase market share
- Work with sales teams to develop detailed promotional calendars for product launches and sales growth.
- Implement segmented campaigns based on customer insights to maximize effectiveness.
- Monitor promotion performance through real-time analytics and adjust tactics as needed.
- Conduct post-campaign evaluations to extract insights and improve future promotional efforts.
- Tailor promotional initiatives to customer needs and market conditions for maximum impact.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key trade partners and stakeholders.
- Develop a structured relationship management program with regular touchpoints and feedback sessions.
- Engage with retailers, distributors, and other partners to strengthen collaboration and alignment.
- Offer incentives and exclusive programs to top-performing trade partners.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all trade channels through effective communication.
- Use customer feedback and insights to continuously refine and tailor trade marketing initiatives.
- Enhance brand visibility and customer engagement in retail environments through strategic merchandising
- Develop and implement point-of-sale materials, displays, and merchandising solutions to boost brand presence.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess the effectiveness of in-store displays and promotional materials.
- Innovate POS materials to keep them fresh and aligned with current consumer trends.
- Use digital tools and AR solutions to create interactive in-store experiences for customers.
- Ensure that merchandising solutions align with brand standards and resonate with target audiences.
- Conduct ongoing market analysis and prepare comprehensive reports on trade marketing performance
- Regularly analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify risks and opportunities.
- Use predictive analytics to anticipate market shifts and adjust strategies proactively.
- Prepare detailed reports that evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives.
- Present actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights to senior management.
- Continuously refine reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate performance tracking.
Financial Management
- Manage the trade marketing budget effectively, ensuring cost efficiency and maximum return on investment.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports related to trade marketing activities.
Risk Management
- Identify the department’s risks, their various mitigations and keep track of them.
Quality Management
- Ensure all trade marketing activities, promotional materials, POSM, merchandising, and activations meet approved Movit quality and brand standards.
- Establish quality standards and checklists for trade marketing execution across all channels and markets.
- Conduct regular quality audits and market visits to identify gaps in execution and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Ensure promotional materials and merchandising assets are accurate, relevant, timely, and fit for purpose before deployment.
- Monitor the quality and consistency of brand execution across distributors, retailers, and other trade partners.
- Work with relevant teams to investigate recurring quality issues and implement preventive and corrective actions.
Compliance
- Ensure regulatory compliance in execution of activities within the country.
- Adherence to all Movit Group and In Country Policies and Procedures.
- Prepare and submit Trade Marketing reports.
Minimum Qualification Requirements: Related Minimum Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of the in-country consumer market with strong acumen for numbers.
- Specialist Marketing Qualification 6 to 8 years relevant experience in FMCG Industry preferably in Brand Management/ Trade Marketing.
