THE ROLE

You will handle a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation, including:

1. Drafting pleadings, applications, submissions and correspondence
2. Conducting legal research and case analysis
3. Appearing in the Magistrates’ Courts and High Court
4. Managing client files, court diaries and deadlines
5. Supporting partners at hearings, mediations and negotiations

REQUIREMENTS

1. Advocate of the High Court of Uganda with a valid practicing certificate
2. Minimum of two (2) years’ post-qualification experience (at least two practicing certifi-cates)
3. Strong drafting, research and advocacy skills
4. Ability to work independently and under pressure
5. Excellent written and spoken English
6. High professional integrity and attention to detail

Advantageous points

1. Experience in commercial, land, employment or debt-recovery litigation
2. Familiarity with e-filing and court practice directions
