Job Title: Account Developer

Line Manager: Territory Execution Manager
Job Purpose: The Account Developer plays a key role in achieving sales targets by driving secondary
sales, overseeing weighted and numeric distribution growth, and executing key strategies.

Functional Outputs/Activities per key performance area:
Target Achievement of Secondary Sales
• Monitor sales performance metrics to ensure targets are met.
• Develop action plans to address shortfalls for the Route sales performance.
• Influence key customer orders by channel.
• Monitor the offloading and loading projections of the distributor sales representatives.
Drive Accessibility
• Ensure Outlet Call Compliance to drive universe coverage.
• Adhere to the assigned route plans to drive route optimization.
• Creation of new trading Centres and outlets to increase coverage.
• Ensure availability of the Must Have SKU’s in every channel.
Distribution Excellence
• Coordinate and support activities of the Distributor sales Representatives to ensure alignment
with company objectives.
• Drive clarity of the sales team target and consistently follow through for their achievements
assigned to them.
• Conduct daily reviews of the sales team and route performance.
Product Knowledge Dissemination
• Lead training sessions to ensure the route sales team and distributor teams have
comprehensive product knowledge.
• Support the Salon supervisors to organize training for the Salons for the individual assigned sales
areas.
Visibility – Instore Execution Excellence.
• Ensure optimal merchandising, product visibility, and promotional displays at the point of sale.
• Negotiate for Shelf space with Key customers to ensure a superior Share of Shelf for MPL.
• Place POSM in trade to conquer all points of Impact in trade.
• Adhere to the approved MPL planogram per Channel.
• Execute the Perfectly Executed Stores (P.E.S) model across the Market.
Activation – Sales Systems & Marketing
• Deliver 100% Sales force systems utilization across all assigned routes.
• Conduct all Outlet visits through the MPL nominated CRM tool (BEE APP).
• Execute all Trade Marketing and all promotional initiatives.
Financial Management
• Follow through and monitor credit extended to the trade to ensure transparency and
Accountability.
Risk Management
• Identify potential risk to sales in assigned routes and escalate for mitigation.
Compliance
• Ensure Data integrity in the Usage of all MPL Systems.
1) Ensure Adherence to Movit Africa Policies and Procedures.
Minimum Qualification Requirements: Related Minimum Experience:
Diploma in Business related Course
Bachelor’s Degree is added an advantage
Minimum of (1) years of experience as a sales
representative in an FMCG
Must have Record of excellence in executing
market and sales plan

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
• Occasional travel is required for meetings, trainings and conferences; location may vary and
may require overnight stays.
