Bank of Uganda is the Central Bank of Uganda. It was established in 1966 and is responsible for regulating monetary policy, issuing currency, supervising financial institutions and maintaining stability of the Ugandan economy.

- A signed off introductory letter from the applicant’s institution of study
Selection into the programme will be based on:
- Academic merit (minimum CGPA of 3.6)
- Proof of continuing student status
- Relevance of the applicant’s course to Bank of Uganda operations
- First-come, first-served basis, among other considerations

Application process;
The Bank of Uganda internship programme 2026, will open for applications in the month of April 2026.
The internship programme 2026 comprising three (3) intakes, each lasting one (1) month shall be conducted in June, July and August 2026.
Online applications should be accompanied by a cover letter, recent testimonial (indicating full results for the first and second year), an introductory letter from the institution of study. Failure to provide these attachments may lead to disqualification.
The selection shall be based on academic merit (minimum CGPA 3.6), continuing student status, relevance of the course to BOU operations, first come first serve basis, among others.
Applicants who may have submitted their applications prior to this communication are required to re-apply and submit their online applications.
