Duties and responsibilities

Mixology

• Mixology: Mix, garnish, and serve classic cocktails, wines, spirits, and nonalcoholic beverages accurately, following standard recipes.

Customer Service & Guest Experience

• Hospitality: Greet hotel guests warmly, anticipate their needs, provide expert menu recommendations, and resolve complaints promptly.
• Menu Knowledge: Stay fully updated on seasonal beverage specials, local ingredients, and food-and-drink pairings to enhance the guest experience.
• Compliance: Verify guest identification to comply with legal drinking ages and enforce hotel-wide responsible beverage service protocols.

Bar Operations & Inventory

• Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, fresh produce, ice, and liquor, assisting with routine restocking and supply ordering.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, taps, and glassware. Troubleshoot or report equipment issues immediately to management.
• Sanitation: Ensure the bar area, work surfaces, and seating sections strictly adhere to health, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times

Financial & Administrative Duties

• Transactions: Process cash and credit card payments accurately using the hotel’s Point of Sale (PUS) system, and balance the cash register at shitt changes.
• Collaboration: Coordinate smoothly with restaurant waitstaff, kitchen, and housekeeping teams to ensure prompt service and support hotel events.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1-2 years of proven experience as a bartender, barman, ideally within a premium hotel or high-volume Bar environment.
• Certification: Relevant certifications in mixology, or food handling are a strong advantage.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and inventory.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic equipment maintenance.
• Certifications: Food handler’s certificate or barista training/ certification will be required
