Position: Business Development Manager
Location: Ntinda, Kampala, Uganda
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Director
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the healthcare sector, including partnerships with hospitals, clinics, and individual providers for medical equipment rentals and consultancy services.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence in Uganda and potentially East Africa.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitor activities, and customer needs in medical equipment and healthcare solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, marketing) to tailor proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote CuraScript and CuraEquip brands.
- Track and report on sales performance, pipelines, and business development metrics
using CRM tools. - Contribute to product/service innovation based on client feedback and market demands.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum: Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Healthcare Management,
or a related field (Bachelor’s degree is an advantage). - At least 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or client acquisition, preferably in healthcare, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, or related sectors.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and close deals in a competitive market.
- Good understanding of Uganda’s healthcare environment and key players.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word); CRM experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Uganda for client meetings.
- Passion for improving healthcare access and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
