Business Development Manager- CuraScript Healthcare Solutions

Position: Business Development Manager
Location: Ntinda, Kampala, Uganda
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the healthcare sector, including partnerships with hospitals, clinics, and individual providers for medical equipment rentals and consultancy services.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence in Uganda and potentially East Africa.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitor activities, and customer needs in medical equipment and healthcare solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, marketing) to tailor proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote CuraScript and CuraEquip brands.
  • Track and report on sales performance, pipelines, and business development metrics
    using CRM tools.
  • Contribute to product/service innovation based on client feedback and market demands.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum: Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Healthcare Management,
    or a related field (Bachelor’s degree is an advantage).
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or client acquisition, preferably in healthcare, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, or related sectors.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and close deals in a competitive market.
  • Good understanding of Uganda’s healthcare environment and key players.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word); CRM experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Uganda for client meetings.
  • Passion for improving healthcare access and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
