Purpose: Runs the mini coffee bar (including alcohol service) and hosts the VIP lounge, extending the brand’s hospitality into a retail-hospitality hybrid experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, soft drinks and the approved alcohol menu to the store’s responsible-service standard (Section 4.4).
- Check and log ID for any alcohol service; never serve intoxicated guests: know and follow the terms of the liquor licence
- Host VIP clients in the lounge – by appointment and walk-in – coordinating with the Store Manager and MTM
Coordinator on client needs. - Maintain lounge and bar hygiene, stock levels and presentation to premium hospitality standard.
- Log every bar consumption item (opened bottle, poured measure, comped drink) against the daily bar consumption sheet, reconciled to sales at close
- Support store events (soft launch, VIP evenings) with bar service
Requirements & Profile
- Barista and/or bar service experience, ideally in a premium hospitality setting
- Understanding of responsible alcohol service and willingness to enforce it even with VIP guests.
- Warm, discreet, high-end hosting manner.
Key Performance Indicators (KPls)
- Bar/lounge revenue vs. target,
- Stock-to-sales reconciliation accuracy (consumption log vs. till sales, zero unexplained variance).
- VIP guest satisfaction / repeat lounge booking rate.
- 100% compliance with responsible alcohol service and ID-check policy.
