CONSULTANCY TO UNDERTAKE A THEMATIC STUDY – The Human Rights Centre Uganda

CONSULTANCY TO UNDERTAKE A THEMATIC STUDY ON THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF NGOS AND CBOS SUPPORTING ARTISANAL AND SMALL-SCALE MINING COMMUNITIES IN KARAMOJA, UGANDA.

The purpose of the consultancy is to undertake an evidence-based thematic study of the working environment of NGOs and CBOs supporting artisanal and small-scale mining communities in Karamoja, identifying the legal, regulatory, institutional, financial, operational, civic space and protection factors that enable or constrain their work.

The study will generate practical recommendations for improving the operating environment of civil society organisations and strengthening their contribution to human rights protection, community participation, accountability and inclusive mining governance.
