About Funamu
Funamu is an emerging technology startup building a multi-vertical marketplace that connects customers, merchants, Delivery Partners, and Pickup and Drop-off (PUDO) Partners through a unified digital platform. We are preparing to launch our operations in Lira City and are seeking an organised, decisive, and operations-focused Delivery Partners Officer to manage Delivery Partner applications, coordinate dispatch operations, and support the growth of our presence in Lira.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery Partner Applications and Verification – review applications, verify identity and vehicle capacity. and approve or reject applications within assigned authority. Ward Route Setup – establish and maintain delivery routes for Lira’s wards and coordinate adjustments when needed.
• Dispatch Operations – assign and reassign deliveries and manage city-level dispatch operations.
• Delivery Delays and Handover Problems – follow up on delays, investigate issues, and coordinate resolutions.
• Delivery Partner Operations – maintain partner records, follow up on operational issues, and support partner readiness.
• Records and Reporting – maintain accurate records and provide operational updates to the City Manager.
• Coordination with the City Team – work with Ward Managers, Merchant Partners Officer, and PUDO Partners Officer while following company policies and assigned authority.

Compensation
Compensation will be discussed with shortlisted candidates based on the role’s responsibilities, qualifications, and relevant experience.

The Opportunity
The Delivery Partners Officer is responsible for reviewing and deciding Delivery Partner applications, verifying applicant identities and vehicle capacity, setting up ward routes, and managing delivery assignments and dispatch operations within Lira.
This role ensures that Delivery Partners meet our requirements and that delivery assignments, reassignments, delays, and handover problems are handled efficiently in accordance with Funamu’s established procedures and assigned authority.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is an advantage.
• Experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, transport operations, or field operations is desirable.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Ability to assess applications against established verification requirements.
• Good communication and coordination skills. Confidence using digital platforms, dispatch systems, and operational reporting tools.
• Ability to make timely decisions within established procedures and assigned authority.
• Strong English communication skills are required. Proficiency in Langi and familiarity with Lira City and its local community are added advantages.
