POSITION : Deputy Finance Manager
REPORTS TO : Finance Manager
INTERFACES WITH : Heads of Departments, Senior Management Team, External parties.
OVERALL, JOB PURPOSE
The Deputy Finance Manager plays a strategic leadership role in supporting the Finance Manager in driving financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and business growth across the facilities. The overall purpose is to oversee financial operations of the facilities, financial reporting and compliance. The incumbent ensures efficient management of receivables, payables, cashflow, budgeting and financial reporting while maintaining strong internal controls within a complex healthcare environment. The role also plays a key role in improving financial performance, supporting operational decision making, staff motivation and strategic leadership for finance and accounts department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting or Commerce from a recognized University OR fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CPA/ACCA).
- Must have completed professional accounting qualification (ACCA or CPA)
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience with at least two of those years in a leadership position.
- Master’s degree in business administration or related discipline is an added advantage
- Strong exposure to financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and performance management.
- Experience of working with a medical facility is an added advantage.
