POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: FINANCE MANAGER REPORTING AND INNOVATION SUPPORT
REPORTS TO: FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
JOB PURPOSE
To ensure clear credible disclosures under the following reporting frameworks;
- IFRS (including IFRS S1&S2)
- Regulatory reports under the Financial Institutions Act
- Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
- Integrated Reporting framework
To build and improve on reporting process together with internal and external stakeholders to achieve quality and timely disclosures for the following frameworks;
- IFRS (including IFRS S1&S2)
- Regulatory reports under the Financial Institutions Act
- Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
- Integrated Reporting framework
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES /KEY DELIVERABLES
- Ensure compliance with international financial reporting accounting standards, regulatory requirements and the Bank’s policies.
- Preparation of a complete set of Pearl Bank financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Manage the preparation and quality control of regulatory returns under the Financial Institutions Act and Basel II guidelines from Bank of Uganda.
- Prepare the Bank’s Annual Integrated Report using the integrated reporting framework.
- Lead and oversee Pearl Bank’s external audit process from start to finish, ensuring timely completion.
- Prepare the Bank’s sustainability report in accordance with Global reporting Initiative and established sustainability frameworks.
- Support product innovation initiatives as finance lead on the committees/team.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- A first Degree is required.
- Professional accounting qualification ACCA/CPA.
- At least four (4) years of experience leading a team to deliver high quality reports within the reporting timelines.
- Experience in preparing a complete set of the Bank’s financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is required, with preference given to candidates
who have prepared or audited financial statements for a bank. - In-depth understanding of integrated reporting conceptual frameworks -ISSB and GRI.
- In-depth understanding of sustainability conceptual and reporting frameworks -ISSB and SSB.
- Ability to analyse and evaluate data for acceptability and correctness.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills at a senior level.
- Must be a person of impeccable integrity.
