Forklift & Material Handling Equipment Operator – Dalilang Foods & Beverages

Safely moves pallets, materials, ingredients, packaging, and finished goods across warehouses, yards, and loading areas.
Supports logistics operations through compliant equipment handling, loading, unloading, and racking to maintain warehouse safety and product flow.

Conduct pre use equipment inspections covering tyres, forks, mast, hydraulic systems, brakes, horn, warning devices, seat belt, battery or fuel system, and visible damage.
Remove unsafe equipment from service and report defects promptly.
Collect pallets from approved locations, verifying load stability and fork positioning before lifting.
Maintain controlled operating speeds, respect equipment capacity limits, and give continuous priority to pedestrians.
Exercise heightened caution around blind corners, loading docks, ramps, doorways, and congested zones.
Stack and place loads according to rack weight ratings, pallet condition, product instructions, and warehouse guidelines.
Assist in loading and unloading trucks while confirming correct pallet placement.
Perform safe equipment parking with forks lowered and power isolated, following certified procedures for battery charging or refuelling.
Report incidents, near misses, rack impacts, damaged pallets, and equipment faults immediately.

Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE)
Degree, Diploma, Certificate, National Certificate, or vocational qualification in any discipline
Technical or mechanical training is advantageous
Mandatory completion of recognized forklift or MHE operator training and company authorization prior to independent operation

No prior work experience required.
Comprehensive practical onboarding and supervised driving practice provided covering equipment inspection, load handling, rack safety, and emergency procedures.
