LABORATORY TECHNICIANS (02)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct routine tests and analyses on mineral samples
• Operate, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment and instruments
• Prepare reagents/solutions per approved procedures and support chemical/physical analysis
• Record and maintain accurate laboratory results
• Follow quality control, health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Report equipment faults, unusual results, and safety incidents to the supervisor
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of lab materials and waste

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a related field
• Relevant laboratory experience, preferably in mining, geology
• Good knowledge of laboratory procedures, sample handling, and safety requirements
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
• Computer literacy and good record-keeping skills will be an added advantage
