ITDP Africa is seeking a Manager, Communications & Partnerships to lead the organisation’s communications strategy and strengthen partnerships that advance sustainable urban mobility across Africa. This senior leadership role will oversee regional communications, build relationships with governments, donors, media, civil society, and research institutions, and help position ITDP Africa as a leading voice on sustainable transport.
The Manager will lead the development of compelling communications across digital and traditional platforms, oversee publications and multimedia content, manage media relations, and coordinate high-profile campaigns around key policy moments. The role also includes cultivating strategic partnerships, supporting donor engagement, representing ITDP at regional and international events, and ensuring African perspectives are reflected in ITDP’s global communications.
We are looking for an experienced communications professional with at least seven years of relevant experience, exceptional writing and storytelling skills, and a proven ability to build partnerships, lead teams, and translate complex technical work into engaging content. The position is full-time and may be based in Ethiopia, Kenya, or Uganda.
