Job Purpose: The primary role of the PM system Administrator is Planning, scheduling of maintenance activities that is, will be responsible for preventive maintenance in SAP, ensuring that routine preventive maintenance is done and closed in SAP, following on stock levels of spares on MRP. The system administrator will be focusing on SAP activities of the team

Functional Outputs/Activities per key performance area:

  • Scheduling and updating plant maintenance checks, tasks and carrying out reviews.
  • Ensuring that system plant maintenance tasks are closed out and develop weekly reports and budgets.
  • Contributing to the Maintenance strategy.
  • Ensuring that there’s effective stock management in relation to spares required for routine maintenance.
  • Ensuring Asset care integrity. This involves ensuring that information on SAP is correct and Equipment registers are up to date.
  • Monitor and control of the maintenance expenditures against the daily budget and advise the Maintenance planner.
  • Run and print the PM checks from the system and close them after they are done by the technicians.
  • Monitor the spare parts usage for the respective equipment and making timely requests for the spare parts.
  • Capture notifications raised by the technicians into the system and turn them into workorders.
  • Do planning as per work order system and close the workorder when the work is done.
  • Maintain records: Analyse, generate and present weekly, monthly or yearly performance reports and advise on the plant operation and performance.
  • Enable compliance and continual improvement in engineering section to take into consideration OSHE through appropriate support of all OHS/EMS programs and processes on site.
  • Do monthly stocktaking of spares and ensure that the physical spares are matching with the system.
  • Manage costs by through focused improvement and innovations.
  • Ensure machine availability and Reliability to improve productivity.
  • Facilitate problem solving. Ensuring Actions from root cause analysis (RCA) using 5 Why problem-solving tool for any breakdown above 30mins are prioritized during scheduling.

Financial Management

  • Support the Maintenance Manager in the control of the maintenance budget.
  • Ensuring planning and follow-up on key tasks & costs through executing effective solutions to achieve budget and to meet or exceed targets for the assigned equipment.

Risk Management
• Identify the department’s risks, their various mitigations and keep track of them.

Compliance

  • Ensure regulatory compliance in execution of activities within Uganda
  • Adherence to all Movit Group and In Country Policies and Procedures.
  • Prepare and submit location daily report.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Hold a diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing /Industrial option) or relevant discipline obtained from a recognized institution.
  • Knowledge in SAP
  • Extensive knowledge on machine maintenance.
  • Awareness in occupational health & safety
