PRINTER OPERATORS FOR 5 PLY CORRUGATED MACHINE (CARTON FACTORY)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Machine Operation
- Set up and run single facers, glue applicators, pre-heaters, and double-backer units on a 5-ply line.
- Paper Reel Handling
- Mount paper reels on mill roll stands and adjust paper web tension across all 5 layers.
- Glue & Heating Setup
- Control starch glue levels, roller gaps, and heating temperatures to ensure strong sheet bonding.
- Quality Inspection
- Check board thickness, flute alignment (B/C flutes),
- GSM paper weight, and bonding quality.
- Defect Control
- Prevent and resolve common issues like delamination, warped boards, creasing, or loose bonding.
- Basic Maintenance
- Perform daily cleaning, lubrication, and basic mechanical checks on corrugating rollers and glue units.
- Waste & Output Optimization
- Monitor production speed to reduce paper trim, glue waste, and downtime.
- Safety Adherence
- Follow safety rules around high-temperature rollers, steam/heating pipes, and emergency stops.
KEY REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- 3 to 5 years operating semi-automatic corrugated line machinery (experience with Chinese machine brands preferred).
- Machine Knowledge
- Good understanding of 5-ply corrugated board production, paper tensioning, and starch adhesive application.
- Troubleshooting Skills
- Ability to quickly fix paper snapping, alignment issues, and minor mechanical faults.
