JOB TITLE : SPECIALITIES PRODUCTS TRADING SPECIALIST (1 VACANCY)
REPORTS TO : SPECIALTIES PRODUCTS TRADING MANAGER
JOB PURPOSE : IMPLEMENT ORGANIZATIONAL PROCESSES, SELLING, MARKETING, AND STAKEHOLDER LINKAGES, CUSTOMER AND CLIENT RELATIONS, AND OPERATIONAL SYSTEMS FOR THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH OF THE SPECIALTIES PRODUCTS TRADING BUSINESS, IN LINE WITH COMPANY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1) Conduct surveys, demand forecasting, and analysis to guide optimal sourcing and stocking strategies for specialties petroleum products.
2) Contribute to the development and implementation of Specialties products trading processes and procedures in line with business scale and regulatory requirements.
3) Support the creation and execution of pricing strategies, promotions, and new product development initiatives.
4) Track industry specifications, technology, and market requirements, implementing initiatives to ensure business sustainability in collaboration with business partners and as per guidelines provided by the relevant regulatory stakeholders.                                                                                                                                                                     5) Identify and manage regional and local logistics processes for efficient supply and distribution of Specialty petroleum products.
6) Collaborate with QHSSE teams to establish and maintain health, safety, security, and environmental systems in the handling and storage of Specialty petroleum products.
7) Supervise the initiation and onboarding of customers and subsequently support the Trading Officers to manage the relationships to deliver the business targets , aligning with approved business cases and mandates.
8) Provide technical input for negotiations with business and financing partners, and prepare regular business operations updates for shareholders and stakeholders.
9) Participate in developing and executing annual stakeholder engagement plans to secure buy-in and achieve business goals for the Specialty Business unit.

Qualifications & Experience
1) Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Industrial Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Business Development or a related technical field.
2) At least Six (6) years’ relevant work experience in business development or marketing of downstream Petroleum products, fast moving consumer goods, or services.
3) Proven sales/marketing experience in Business-to-business or retail business in the downstream petroleum sector, commercial services sector, manufacturing, or any other relevant areas.
4) Demonstrable experience in customer relationship management
