StartHub Africa – Graduate Internship Program

StartHub Africa – Graduate Internship Program

How StartHub Internship Works

Internship Program Structure

You’ll go through a work readiness workshop, get matched to a real team, and spend 4 months contributing to actual projects, with mentorship from the people you work alongside every day. Our goal is simple: give you the experience and skills to be productive from day one, in exchange for a real, structured chance to prove what you can do.

We’re enrolling 8 candidates into the program, with 4 spots available in the final internship

Track Spots What it involves
Projects 2 Support real project delivery, coordination, and execution. Genuine interest in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) or data analytics is a plus for one of these two spots, not required
Manufacturing (Social Media) 1 Support Manufacturing/projects work, with social media and content creation (think TikTok and similar formats)
Financial Services (Accounting) 1 Support real, client-facing financial services work: financial models, bookkeeping for SMEs, financial management capacity building, and investment readiness

Specific Competencies

Who Can Apply and Eligibility

Fresh graduates, or anyone up to 2 years out of university, interested in Project Management, Social Media Marketing (content creation), or Financial Services/Accounting. We are looking for individuals who are curious, coachable, and ready to do real work, not just observe.

No specific degree is required for Projects, M&E, or social media, we’re looking at competencies over credentials. Financial Services is the exception: a general accounting degree is required, though no specialized SME or investment readiness experience is needed; willingness to learn matters most.

Program Benefits

What’s in the Program

Work Readiness Workshop: Introduction to StartHub, policies, and culture. Core professional skills (communication, presentations, design thinking) plus hands-on, track-specific scenarios.

Genuine growth potential: Strong performers get real consideration for future opportunities. 4 of the 8 enrolled candidates move forward into the full internship on a StartHub team, with a direct mentor. Real project ownership, not busywork.

Meals: Meals during the workshop phase will be provided, and a stipend during the 4-month internship.
