Reports To: Production Supervisor
JOB PURPOSE
- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Operator to operate, monitor and maintain UHT dairy production equipment to ensure efficient production, consistent product quality, sterility and compliance with safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and monitor production equipment, including sterilisers, homogenisers and aseptic fillers.
- Set up machinery for different production plans in coordination with the Factory Engineer.
- Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot faults and minimize production downtime.
- Adjust machine parameters, including speed, temperature and pressure, to meet production requirements.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication and replacement of worn components.
- Support maintenance teams in complex repairs and equipment upgrades.
- Conduct in-process quality checks and ensure product sterility and compliance with quality standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Technical Engineering.
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar position.
- Experience in operating and maintaining production machinery, preferably in the dairy. beverage, distillery, juice, or other food processing industries.
