Role summary: The Trade Marketing Supervisor is responsible for executing trade marketing strategies and initiatives to drive in-market excellence, improve product visibility, and support sales performance across assigned channels. The role focuses on supervising trade marketing activities, ensuring effective promotion execution, managing POS materials, and coordinating with Sales and Marketing teams.s

Functional Outputs/Activities per key performance area:
Trade Marketing Execution
• Execute trade marketing plans, promotions, and in-store activities in line with approved
strategies.
• Supervise deployment of visibility assets, POS materials, and promotional mechanics across
outlets.
• Ensure correct implementation of planograms, pricing, and promotional guidelines.
• Support product launches and promotional rollouts at the trade level.
Field Supervision and Coordination
• Supervise merchandisers and field teams to ensure execution excellence and compliance with
standards.
• Conduct regular market visits to monitor activity execution, availability, and visibility.
• Provide coaching and on-the-job guidance to field teams and distributor staff.
Channel and Customer Support
• Work closely with Sales teams to support channel-specific initiatives and customer
requirements.
• Ensure trade activities are aligned with channel strategies and customer agreements.
• Support resolution of execution gaps or customer concerns related to trade activities.
Market Intelligence and Reporting
• Monitor competitor trade activities including promotions, pricing, and visibility.
• Collect market feedback and insights to support trade and category planning.
• Prepare execution reports, post-promotion evaluations, and recommendations.
Financial Management
• Manage trade marketing operational budgets, ensuring activities are delivered within
approved limits.
• Track spend on POS materials, promotions, and merchandising activities.
• Ensure accurate documentation and reconciliation of trade marketing expenses.
• Support cost-efficient execution while maintaining brand and visibility standards.
Risk Management
• Identify risks related to poor execution, budget overruns, non-compliance, or brand
inconsistency at the trade level.
• Escalate execution or compliance risks impacting sales performance or brand reputation.
• Support mitigation actions for stock shortages, visibility gaps, or distributor non-compliance.
• Maintain a trade marketing risk log and track corrective actions.
Quality Management
• Ensure all trade marketing activities comply with the company’s Quality Management
System (QMS), ISO standards, and approved procedures.
• Monitor handling, storage, and deployment of POS and visibility materials to prevent
damage or wastage.
• Maintain accurate documentation for trade activities, approvals, and execution records in
line with ISO requirements.
• Support audits and corrective actions related to trade marketing execution.
• Promote continuous improvement and adherence to standardized execution processes.
Compliance
• Ensure regulatory compliance in execution of duties in the country.
• Ensure Adherence to Movit Group and In Country Policies and Procedures.
Minimum Qualification Requirements: Related Minimum Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business
Administration, Sales, or a related field from a
recognized university.
• Minimum of 3–6 years’ experience in
trade marketing, sales execution, or field
marketing within FMCG.
• Experience supervising field teams or
merchandising operations.
