Qualifications & Experience:
1. Must have a first or second upper-class Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Industrial Fine Art, Industrial Fine Art & Design, Fine/Visual Arts, Interior Design, Fashion & Textile Design, Apparel & Textile Design, Fabric & Apparel Design
OR any undergraduate degree related to Fine Arts, Visual Art or Industrial Arts with demonstrable skills in Fashion, Fabrics, Painting, Sculpture, and Ceramics.
NOTE: The bachelor’s degree should have been obtained not more than five (5) years ago, i.e., the applicant should have graduated after 1st Jan 2021
2. Promise of skill and effectiveness in teaching and advising students.
3. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.
4. Must have excellent computer skills.
5. Must be able to learn, adapt, and be flexible in an office and classroom.
6. Must be able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
7. Must be self-motivated, teachable, willing and able to learn, and a team player
8. Must be dependable and committed to continuous improvement, learning, and personal growth.
9. Ability to solve problems quickly, accurately, effectively, and efficiently.
10. Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
11. Must be able to pay attention to detail.
12. Should be a committed and practicing Christian
Duties:
1. Teach the allocated workload in a semester
2. Prepare assessment tools and marking guides accordingly
3. Teach and assess students in accordance with the University’s Curriculum
4. Must be present for all lecturers
5. Should attend to students’ academic needs and also offer advice.
6. Must be available for departmental, academic and administrative meetings
7. Should be willing to uphold the University’s instruments of Identity
