Position Overview

Masaka Creamery is seeking reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Warehouse Staff to support daily warehouse operations. Warehouse Staff are responsible for receiving, storing, handling, and issuing materials and finished goods accurately and safely.

This role is hands-on and requires discipline, teamwork, and adherence to food safety and inventory procedures. The ideal candidate is punctual, physically fit, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, accuracy, and accountability.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

The main objectives and responsibilities of the position are to:

 

1. Receiving & Storage

  • Receive raw materials, packaging, and other supplies according to procedures.
  • Verify quantities and condition of goods received.
  • Store items in designated locations following FIFO/FEFO and storage guidelines.
  • Label and organize stock clearly for easy identification.

2. Issuing & Dispatch

  • Pick and issue materials to Production based on approved requisitions.
  • Prepare finished goods for dispatch according to delivery instructions.
  • Load and unload goods safely and carefully.

3.  Inventory Accuracy

  • Assist with daily and periodic stock counts.
  • Report discrepancies, damages, expiries, or losses immediately to the supervisor.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping for all warehouse movements.

4. Hygiene, Safety & Quality

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse at all times.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Handle products carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Follow all health and safety instructions.

5. Teamwork & Discipline

  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Follow instructions, SOPs, and company policies.
  • Communicate issues clearly and respectfully within the team.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of secondary school education.
  • Previous warehouse or store keeping experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods.
  • Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.
  • Willingness to learn and follow procedures strictly.
  • Reliable, punctual, and honest.
  • Ability to work effectively in a Deaf-inclusive workplace.

 

Compensation & Working Conditions

Compensation: To be determined.

Paid Leave: 18 days annually.

Work Location: Plot G5, Kigali Special Economic Zone, Kigali, Rwanda.

Contract: Open-ended.

Reporting To: Warehouse Supervisor

Expenses: Reimbursement for authorized business-related expenses (transport, airtime, etc.).
