Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Web Developer Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in WordPress website development. The successful candidate will support the web development team in building, maintaining, and optimizing websites while learning industry best practices.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in WordPress website development and customization projects.
- Support website content uploads, updates, and maintenance.
- Perform website testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.
- Learn and apply WordPress development standards and best practices.
- Assist in website performance optimization and user experience improvements.
- Support plugin installation, configuration, and updates.
- Assist in preparing project documentation and progress reports.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and project teams on assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of WordPress CMS.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
- Understanding of website design principles and responsive design.
- Willingness to learn web development tools and technologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Added Advantage
- Experience working on personal, academic, or freelance WordPress projects.
- Basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
- Familiarity with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
- Knowledge of SEO fundamentals.
