Account Manager, Sales & Business Development- Interswitch Uganda

Job Title: ACCOUNT MANAGER
Function: SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Reports To: MANAGER BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND SALES, PAYMATE AND INDECO
Supervises: N/A
Location: KAMPALA – UGANDA

JOB PURPOSE:
To craft and execute a sales strategy that accelerates the growth of the Company’s Corporate

Solutions and exceeds revenue goals, ensuring the effectiveness and continuity of sales-
driven business expansion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide insights for the development of strategic sales plans
  • Understand industry vision and strategies
  • Create annual and weekly sales plans and coordinate sales activities.
  • Generate market intelligence to inform strategies and improve product market share
  • Prospect new customers, build a customer pipeline, and convert leads into sales
  • Manage customer relationships and resolving issues with the support of internal teams
  • Conduct market research and gather feedback to guide product development and sales strategies
  • Monitor competitor products and industry trends to enhance sales efforts.
  • Collaborate with marketing for product visibility and event participation
  • Ensure timely payment collection and manage financial receivables
  • Coordinate with Service Management for complex issue follow-ups.
  • Address risk and compliance matters and liaise with regulatory bodies
  • Review sales targets, monitor performance, and provide regular reports on sales and revenue
    to the Manager, BD & Sales

EDUCATION
University Degree in any Business-related course.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in account management or client success, preferably within the FinTech industry.
