We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Procurement Officer to manage the end-to-end procurement of live birds. The ideal candidate will ensure a consistent supply of quality live birds to support Moo Chicken slaughter operations while building strong supplier relationships and securing the best value.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree or Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain, Agribusiness, Business Administration or related field.
- 2 years experience in procurement of livestock or agriculture products.
- Valid riding permit is an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- High integrity.
- Knowledge of agriculture value addition.
- Excellent communication skills (good in Luganda and English).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and implement live birds procurement plans. • Map, identify, onboard and manage suppliers.
- Negotiate price and terms to achieve best value.
- Coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery. • Monitor inventory of birds vs slaughter plan.
- Records management and documentation. Compliance with SOPs and company policies.
