Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review bills of quantities, specifications, and payment certificates.
  • Check the progress of the works as presented by the contractor and consultant using the Earned Value Methodology.
  • Monitor services performed by the contractors and supervision consultants.
  • Undertake regular site visits, participate m monthly site meetings, and provide detailed reporting
  • Check regular disbursement schedules for construction works.
  • Verify any claims made by the contractors
  • Carry out appraisals on the work and do value engineering to determine where funds can be utilized for better project delivery.
  • Check payment certificates lor contractors and consultants.
  • Submit timely reports to the Supervisor

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • An honors bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying Other requirements
  • Practical experience in quantity surveying practice or related duties in a public or private institution.
  • Experience in the use of ICT project planning tools like Primvera. MS Project, or equivalent.
  • Experience
  • At least eight (8) years, 3 of which should be as a registered Surveyor with the Surveyor’s Registration Board
  • Competencies
  • Good Communication, leadership and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficient in using relevant computer packages;
  • Teamwork and team building;
  • High integrity
